Hi! I have an issue with my Win10/64 laptop's USB floppy drive: it used to register as Drive A: but now registers as Drive B:. I asked about this twice in another location, but they couldn't help me. I tried the diskmgmt.exe utility, but the drive entry didn't appear. I need your help. I have some batch files and other setups that assume the floppy is Drive A: and don't want to change all those settings to use Drive B:.

Try using Nirsoft USBDeview.

I tried it. I got an Error 5: Access is denied error. :(

It usually happens when you plug the same storage device into a different
USB port. Windows always assign a new drive letter each time the device is
connected, if that device in that USB port is not yet recorded in the
registry.

Windows is still dumb on this part.
