Win10/64 laptop: problem w/ file associations and Shell

Hi! I have a Windows 10 64-bit laptop and made some file associations with regedt32.exe and have a problem: when I right-click .prg files which have the associations and click a desired operation, a window pops up and asks how I want to open the file. I don't want that. I want to open it in a certain way just this once. Following are registry dumps of one offending file type:

That happens when Windows can't find the associated program file.

The entries point to valid files and folders. I get the same when opening .PDF files.

Modern Windows thinks that it better knows what to do than user or
programmer. That's sad.
